~ welcome to kula ~

a yoga education community

for curious students & teachers

Why Kula?

Kula is an online yoga education community ~ a place to go a little deeper than a weekly drop-in class usually allows.

Each month we gather around a single teaching theme: an anatomy focus, an alignment principle, or a concept from yoga philosophy. Everything that month…the classes, the meditation, the practices all connect back to it. It's a way of learning that builds over time rather than starting over each week.

Over time, you’ll build a real working knowledge of alignment, anatomy, and yoga philosophy…not as theory, but as something you can feel in your own practice and share with your students.

This isn't a replacement for your studio practice. It's a complement. A consistent thread of education and community woven through your month, wherever you are.

All for less than the price of a single drop-in class.

what’s included in my membership?

consistency builds understanding.

Every month is anchored by a teaching theme: an anatomical focus, alignment principle, or concept from yoga philosophy that runs through everything.

Two live classes give you a chance to practice in real time. Two shorter on-demand practices (20 to 35 minutes) designed for home use are there to return to throughout the month and build consistency.

A guided meditation supports your nervous system and brings the theme into stillness.

Each month builds on the last, creating a thread of understanding that deepens the longer you practice with it.

a connected community.

Kula members come from different time zones, different schedules, different backgrounds. What we share is curiosity: about the body, the practice, and what it means to keep learning.

Two live classes each month give you a chance to practice in real time. The dates are announced at the start of each month. Can't make it live? Everything is recorded and waiting in your library.

The on-demand practices are shorter by design…because consistency can be more valuable than intensity. These are designed to come back to over and over.

And the recorded class library grows with you.

practice to give back.

In yoga philosophy, seva - the practice of selfless service - is considered one of the highest forms of practice. Not something we do after we've perfected the poses, but woven into the practice itself.

10% of every Kula membership is donated to the Give Back Yoga Foundation, supporting non-profit yoga programs in underserved communities.

Your practice contributes to someone else's access.
